Understanding Scholarships

Ten per cent of every group cohort is reserved for families who need it. Recipients are never identified, and the teaching is identical.

Who it is forFamilies for whom the fee is the only barrier. Allocated on need, usually through a school referral.
What you getA full or half-fee group place, the same tutor, the same Ledger and the same reporting as everyone else.
How to applyAsk your school to refer you, or contact us directly. We will treat it in confidence.
Health Care Card holdersA 30% reduction on group membership, separate from the scholarship places.
Nobody is toldRecipients are not identified to tutors, to other families or in any of our marketing.
Why we do itIt is right, and in our catchment it also widens the number of learners we can actually help.
This is costed into the business, not run out of goodwill. The scholarship and sliding-scale program is budgeted as a 6% reduction in revenue from day one, so it does not depend on a good year.
