Four tiers

Personal Tutoring is priced by the tier you choose, not by year level. If we cannot supply the tier you booked, the session is delivered and charged at the lower tier.

Nobody teaches for us on the strength of an ATAR. Every tutor completes eight certification modules, and modules 1 and 2, child safety and the Red Lines, must be passed before any contact with a learner.

The certification

Twenty hours, paid at half rate, completed within the first six weeks. Six-hour refresher annually.

1. Child safety and conductChild Safe Standards, WWCC, Reportable Conduct, mandatory reporting, boundaries. Pre-service.
2. The Red LinesAcademic integrity with an assessed scenario test. Must be passed before a first session.
3. Explicit instructionSmall steps, worked examples, guidance fading, cognitive load, checking for understanding.
4. DiagnosisPrerequisite back-mapping, error analysis and the misconception libraries.
5. Retrieval and spacingWhy retrieval works, how to schedule it, how to run a delayed check.
6. The Prove GateHow to run a teach-back, how to stay silent, and how to hold the line with a parent.
7. The LedgerRecording, evidence standards and report writing.
8. DifferenceDyslexia, dyscalculia, ADHD, EAL/D and maths anxiety, including when to refer out.

Where your tutor is based

We tell you, plainly, before you enrol. Some of our tutors are based in Australia and some are based overseas, principally in India. Both are screened, both are supervised by an Australian-based lead, and every session is on our monitored platform.
Australian tutors teachAll VCE and senior subjects, anything mapped to a state study design, and every one-to-one session with a learner under 18.
Overseas tutors teachAdult and university learners, and recorded, supervised group cohorts for Years 3 to 10.
NeverAn overseas tutor is never alone one-to-one with a learner under 18, and never in an unrecorded session.
Why the distinction exists. A person living outside Australia cannot obtain a Victorian Working with Children Check. Rather than argue around that, we restrict what overseas tutors do and screen them with overseas police clearances, checked references, annual re-screening and full session recording.
